Heritage Frederick collects and preserves a vast archive of manuscripts, newspapers, photographs, ephemera, and other resources from Frederick County families, organizations, and communities. This collection supports our mission to research and share the significant historical impact of Frederick, County, Maryland, on our state, nation and world.
Located in the lower level of the Museum of Frederick County History at 24 East Church Street, the Heritage Frederick Archives and Research Center provides access to these resources and guidance for researching genealogy, historical properties, and general scholarship of Frederick County history. We are open to all researchers by appointment.
