We are happy to offer field trip walking tours to elementary schoolers through college classes. Whether your 2nd graders are being introduced to Francis Scott Key and Carroll Creek, or your undergraduate history class is looking for a deep dive into the Civil War in Frederick, we have a variety of tours to meet your educational needs.
Tours offered for 6th grade and above: Historic Frederick, Civil War, Frederick’s Black Heritage, Art & Architecture. Descriptions of these tours can be found under our Walking Tours tab.
Our Elementary School Tour follows Carroll Creek, from Sagner Ave/Wisner St (behind McCutcheon’s) to Baker Park. This covers about 1 mile in 75 minutes. Themes include Community and Civics.
