We have a variety of opportunities for people 18 years of age and up who desire to make a difference in their community by inspiring a love of history.
Volunteers need only to be enthusiastic to learn the history and heritage of Frederick County and willing to share their knowledge with the public.
Heritage Frederick provides training for all volunteer opportunities.

Museum Docents are trained to give guided tours for all ages.
At the Museum of Frederick County History tours include both permanent and changing exhibitions covering the county’s past from early settlement through the Cold War.
Training will start in January for the “Stitches Through Time – Women’s Work From Farm to Fashion” exhibit that will open March 1, 2023.
