A visit to the Research Center – When making a visit to the Library and Archives, customers will receive a full-service experience. A volunteer, intern, or staff member will always be present to answer questions, pull items, and help with the researching process.
Research Requests – For researchers who are unable to visit the library, Heritage Frederick offers Research Requests which customers can submit to the Research Center by using a Research Request Form. This service requires a $25.00 payment that covers 2 hours of research and up to 25 photocopies. Volunteers at Heritage Frederick will include anything they find regarding the request in the returning packet. Please be aware that if a Research Request exceeds 2 hours, a volunteer or staff member will call to get permission to continue with research with an additional fee. When research is finished, the information will be sent to the customer by mail. Please see Research Request Form for more details.
Historic Photograph Reproductions– To utilize a photo from Heritage Frederick’s Collection, one must fill out a Photo Reproduction Form and pay the required fees depending on the intent of use. Please see our Photo Reproduction Form for the copyright information and details.
