DESCRIPTION:\n\nNo signers of the Declaration of Independence were born in 
 Frederick County\, but a piece of our community is nonetheless inscribed o
 n the founding document of our nation! As we mark the 250th Anniversary of
  the United States in 2026\, Heritage Frederick invites you to spend a day
  exploring Carrollton Manor on Saturday\, October 24\, 2026. Discover the 
 history of Charles Carroll of Carrollton and the role his family played in
  overseeing Carrollton Manor in southeastern Frederick County. Learn about
  the many people that have inhabited and worked on the Manor throughout it
 s history. Explore the legacy of this "unjustly neglected" Founder\, the o
 nly Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence\, and his connectio
 ns to Frederick County.\n\nHeritage Frederick and partner organizations ar
 e excited to invite you to a full day of programs\, informative displays\,
  and tours on October 24th. Our host location is Saint Joseph's on Carroll
 ton Manor Catholic Church\, located at 5843 Manor Woods Road\, Frederick\,
  MD 21703.\n\nOur exhibition hall at Saint Joseph's will open at 9:00 am w
 ith displays provided by:\n\n 	Heritage Frederick\n 	Carroll County Farm M
 useum\n 	The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton / Daughters of C
 harity Provincial Archives\n 	National Museum of Railroad History and Inno
 vation\n\nDisplays will feature historical and representative artifacts pl
 us an opportunity to learn from knowledgeable guides covering various topi
 cs associated with Carrollton Manor's history. The exhibit hall will be op
 en from 9am until 3pm.\n\nGuided tours of the historic Saint Joseph on Car
 rollton Manor Catholic Church and Graveyard will be offered throughout the
  day. Built in 1822 and expanded to its present size in 1867\, Saint Josep
 h's Church has recently been restored.\n\nHeritage Frederick will also unv
 eil a new driving tour of Carrollton Manor which will help you explore thi
 s storied corner of Frederick County and the many diverse experiences that
  contribute to its history. Guides will be available at select sites to he
 lp you dive further into Carrollton Manor's history.\n\nFood trucks will b
 e at Saint Joseph's on Carrollton Manor Church from 11am to 2pm to provide
  lunch and restrooms will be available at the Church.\nSupport for this ev
